Position Summary
Safely and efficiently operate a Roto-gravure press producing printed material maintaining Donnelley quality, press productivity, efficient make-readies, low spoilage, and cleanliness to the work area to meet and exceed our customer s expectations. This will be accomplished within a team environment.

Responsibilities
Coach and direct the team in attaining and maintaining RRD standards in the following areas to meet the customer s expectation, team goals, department budgets, and division goals.
Quality, Register, Color, Viscosity, Alignment, and Fold
Produce printed material free of defects such as smears, streaks, slurs, ghosting, and scum tone, etc.
Preventative maintenance
Correctly recording all count information on press tickets, roll records, and counter tickets
Operate fire control equipment
Control waste and spoilage
Maintain a clean work area
Train and coach inexperienced team members

Required Skills
Previous experience in the operation of a printing press or work in a printing environment preferred. Some experience in the operation of various hand tools including line gauge, loupe, plate wrench, blanket wrench, brush gauge, ink knife, chisel and punch preferred.
Work around moving machinery with potential hazards from operating equipment if proper safety habits are not practiced.
Must walk and stand on cement floors
Must work on multi-levels
Environment contains ink, toluene, grease, paper dust, and starch dust
Noise levels are medium to high
Overtime may be required and must be willing to work any shift at any time
