Currently HGL has an opening for an Intern.
Responsibilities/Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of responsibilities including data entry in addition to other requirements specific to the hiring department. There will be direct supervision.
Required Skills
The successful candidate will be expected to have the ability to read, understand, and perform assignments within the prescribed guidelines. The following skills are required:
o Proficiency in personal computer operations and in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and other applications specific to the hiring department.
o Excellent interpersonal skills
o Organized and detail oriented
o Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Should the internship be in the GIS group computer proficiency in current version of ArcGIS required.
Required Experience
This is considered an entry level position requiring some related experience or demonstrated skills.
For an intern in GIS you would need one year of GIS related education and must have experience in using ArcGIS to generate presentation quality maps and figures.
Required Education
The Intern position requires a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. An AA or Bachelor''s degree would be a plus.
Details
This is a part-time temporary position. This position will be paid by the hour. Additional skills may be required for specific departments. A pre-hire drug test is required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
