Summary
Provide intern with broad exposure to the various products and services that are addressed and managed by Proposals and New Business, allowing the individual to experience an introduction into the world of business, and more specifically, employee benefits, while providing our team support in the timely completion of several key projects.
Purpose and Mission
Delivery of Annual Renewal Packages - Intern will provide support toward organizing reports and materials relative to the delivery of annual medical renewals, then work with our Senior Advisors on the generation and analysis of follow up proposals.
Preparation and delivery of proposal packages - Intern will assist with the preparation and assembly of materials and information that is gathered in order to provide potential new business prospects with an overview of our available products and services.
Assist with entry and tracking of proposals and plan changes - As inquiries are received and processed, Proposals and New Business tracks the progression of the response using the HEAT call tracking system. The intern will support these efforts by entering the initial data and assisting the Senior Advisors with the necessary internal follow up to conclude the proposal process.
Assist with data analysis to identify potential new business candidates - We will cull through our database of cooperatives that do not currently participate in our Group benefit programs in order to identify and communicate with the more likely prospects. The intern, using criteria defined by management, and the Proposals and New Business staff, will analyze our data to assist with this identification process.
Requirements and Qualifications
Business, Marketing or Finance degree program
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
Strong skills in the use of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word
Technical acumen to quickly learn and utilize system-based applications
Attention to detail
Strong written and oral communication skills
This is an intern position.
3.0 or above GPA required and Must be a rising junior or senior
Dates: May 19th thru August 8th, 2014
Wages: $17 per hour

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
