Hours: Monday-Friday with rotating weekends 4pm-1230am
Job Details:
Performs floor cleaning and special project cleaning throughout the facility as assigned or scheduled. Transports and removes from facility standard waste (trash), regulated medical waste and soiled linen. May perform general cleaning functions as assigned. These functions are completed following prescribed methods and established schedules. Major Duties: Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital s strategic goals. Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives. Perform floor maintenance procedures, to include dust mopping, wet mopping, use of auto scrubber, burnishing and vacuuming, in assigned areas according to prescribed schedule or as assigned. Perform floor restoration procedures, to include floor scrubbing, floor finish removal, floor finish application, carpet shampooing and carpet extraction, as assigned. Perform project cleaning duties as assigned to include wall washing, window washing, vent cleaning, hang/remove curtains and upholstery cleaning. Removal of standard waste, regulated medical waste and soiled linen from the facility. Transportation and disposal of this material will be done in a manner consistent with applicable regulations. Maintain assigned equipment and storage areas properly, keeping it clean and reporting any repair concerns to the supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the organization. Education/
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Preferred: Knowledge of the appropriate use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. High school diploma. Previous housekeeping experience, especially in a healthcare environment. Previous floor care experience. After initial training, must be able to demonstrate the safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Must be able to read and write.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
