We focus our sales and marketing efforts on geographical regions, markets and products. The primary categories of markets include Live Events, Commercial, Transportation and Schools and Theaters. Daktronics manufacturing follows a focus factory concept paralleling these four markets. The Facilities department supports operations at Daktronics and is responsible for facility planning, construction, upkeep and improvements, material handling and general machine and tool repair.
1. Maintenance, troubleshooting and small repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. Work with subcontractor on larger repairs.
2. Maintenance, troubleshooting and small repair of plumbing.
3. Maintenance, troubleshooting and small repair of electrical.
4. Furniture/cubicle installation and maintenance.
5. Maintain building grounds, remove trash on property, remove snow from sidewalks. Work with subcontractors for lawn mowing and snow removal from parking lots.
6. Painting and small construction in facility as needed.
7. Work unsupervised safely and effectively. Must be able to follow instructions.
8. Regularly and reliably work the scheduled hours. Ability to work overtime when workload requires.
9. Other duties as needed to assist Maintenance department.
10. Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work area in accordance with Daktronics Safety Policy and OSHA standards. Items may include the following: safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, hearing protection, electrostatic discharge wear and others as determined necessary by Daktronics Risk and Safety Department.
Requirements
1. High School diploma or GED. Prefer post high school training.
2. Be able to lift and carry heavy (up to 45 lbs) and/or awkward items. Work with your hands. Depending on workload be able to stand and/or sit for the full shift.
3. Forklift driving experience preferred.
4. Computer skills, Glovia experience preferred.
5. Able to organize work and prioritize when required.
6. Good communication skills. Fluent in English, written and verbal.
7. Have a valid drivers license and good driving record. Motor vehicle records will be checked.
8. Background check may be conducted.
