Summary
Evolve and maintain the enterprise core desktop and mobile device technologies in order to assure reliability, maintainability, accessibility, expandability and security. Assist with technical feasibility analyses of mobile devices' performance, operation and support requirements in order to evaluate their suitability to the organization. Design, engineer and manage innovative technology solutions to enhance productivity for the organization.
Purpose and Mission
Manage tasks to configure and maintain the desktop operating system, core desktop enterprise applications, remote computing device environment and integrated backend servers to achieve an optimum desktop platform.
Responsible for identifying Mobile Device Management (MDM) requirements, developing a rollout strategy, supporting all Mobile Device Management (MDM) devices and evaluating NRECA applications that could be candidates for mobile access.
Develop and maintain in depth knowledge of current and emerging MDM technologies to plan future direction, recommend appropriate implementation and support requirements
Research, evaluate and develop MDM standards for new mobile devices including phones and tablets.
Research, implement and support Office 365 cloud applications and Office 2013 desktop applications.
Develop and define standards for mobile device purchase, strategy and support.
Administer and manage support for MDM related servers and clients. Maintain and enhance MDM anti-virus solutions and security policies
Monitor mobile device event logs for potential problems and manage to resolution
Investigate all aspects of desktop auditing to develop an effective implementation strategy to support a secure desktop.
Design and test systems and software for enterprise use.
Coordinate the distribution of systems or software that affects the desktop and mobile enterprise
Monitor enterprise security related applications to ensure consistent and continued protection of data on both the desktop and mobile environments.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 5
year''s technical experience or 7
year's technical experience supporting a Microsoft client / server environment.
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA). 5-7 years of progressive experience designing, engineering, implementing and supporting desktop hardware and software configurations.
3-5 years of MDM experience including design and security
2-3 years of cloud computing background a plus.
Experience with the administration of mobile communications servers and mobile devices including Android and Windows 8 mobile operating systems.
A solid understanding of Windows-based networking/distributed computing/Cloud concepts.
Experience with various aspects and components of security infrastructure.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization.
Must be energetic, goal oriented, innovative, hardworking, persistent, patient and work well in a team environment
