Our client, based in Orange County, is looking for Financial Reporting Manager with a minimum 5
years of experience. Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills are a must. The salary for this position is commensurate with experience but is in the range of $90-100k base w/ good benefits.
The Financial Reporting Manager is primarily responsible for managing the preparation of annual and quarterly financial filings provided to state regulators and other external parties. The individual will also be responsible for managing internal reporting requirements. The Financial Reporting Manager will also provide support to management in determining whether new and complex transactions are posted in accordance with GAAP. This team member will be the primary contact for all audits both external and internal related. The Financial Reporting Manager will also be expected to participate in company wide projects affecting finance and provide financial knowledge and advice when needed regarding the various projects.
Key Responsibilities
oReview documented support for all external and internal financial filings
oCoordinate with the external and internal auditors on quarterly reviews and year-end audits
oCoordinate with state examiners on periodic safety and soundness audits
oFollow-up and manage action plans for any finance related audit findings
oInterpret, document and assist in the implementation of new and/or revised FASB standards and SEC regulations as applicable to the Company
oResponsible for maintaining and updating the company's financial reporting policies and procedures
oPromote process efficiency and create a best practices environment
oPerform financial reviews of subsidiary and sister companies to support the Global Controller and overall financial control environment
oSupervise, mentor and develop assigned personnel

Qualifications:
Public accounting experience preferred
SEC experience preferred
CPA a MUST
Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
