Commercial Engines Aftermarket Operations is seeking a highly experienced environment, health and safety EH&S; Site Manager, responsible for all EH&S; issues associated with the day-to-day operations at our Auto Air facility located in Lansing, Michigan, reporting directly to the General Manager.
Responsibilities include (1) partnering with the leadership team and line supervision to ensure EH&S; regulatory compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and adherence to P&W; procedures and UTC EH&S; Standard Practices. (2) Identification of health & safety hazards and controls to mitigate risks. (3) Coordinating corporate-wide programs ,risk mitigation and injury prevention initiatives, based on the needs of the site, and (4) Participating in pollution prevention / waste reduction initiatives, (5) Working on cross-functional projects that interface with other groups external to and within the core EH&S; team.
This position is also expected to provide timely information and guidance for the General Manager and the site EH&S; council and Sub-Committees, including EH&S; performance trends and root cause corrective actions for injuries and near misses; and support in the development and implementation of strategic action plans to achieve the company goal of having a hazard-free workplace, injury-free employees and an unmatched commitment to compliance and pollution prevention. As a member of the leadership team, this position will drive action plans to meet or exceed aggressive EH&S; goals, act as the primary EH&S; technical resource for the site and provide training and support for the site s hazard risk assessment strategy, program evaluation, audits, ISO 14001 registration, VPP and all other required EH&S; external recognition programs. Along with management, act as the EH&S; liaison with employees at the site. The EH&S; manager must directly support employee engagement around EH&S; and other key initiatives of the leadership team. Understand and proactively follow through on the Management Systems aspects and risks that have been identified as relevant to the site.
Bachelors or Masters of Science/Engineering in EH&S; or related technical field required. Additional certifications, such as CSP, CIH. P.E. or CHMM, strongly preferred. Minimum 7 years as EH&S; professional with direct involvement with management responsibilities, a plus if within a union manufacturing environment. Continuous Improvement experience (such as Six Sigma) desired.
Very strong communication, strategic leadership, technical and interpersonal skills required. Must be very comfortable working as a team to meet highly aggressive goals. EH&S; Regulatory and management systems knowledge necessary. This is a leadership position with high visibility and reporting responsibilities. Candidates should also be able to work independently on projects, participate on multiple team efforts, be energetic and provide team leadership when required. Very limited travel.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
