Job Description
The NIPSCO Internal Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for assisting in the planning, development and execution of all forms of internal communications at the business unit level including intranet, e-mail, digital/social media, print publications, speeches, town hall/face-to-face meetings and other communication methods as directed.
This position also will assist the Director of Internal Communications to provide strategic communications counsel to company leaders and develop strategic communications plans, messages and communications materials as directed.
Assist in the development, execution and measurement of NIPSCO Internal Communications.
Execute the development and delivery of internal communications messages, documents and publications.
Build relationships with key stakeholders, including business unit leaders, field employees other business unit contacts.
Support and promote consistency of internal messaging across the organization.
Help organize and execute employee/leader meetings.
Assist in the management of a metrics program to measure effectiveness of all internal communications initiatives.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other NiSource communicators, energy industry and association peers, and other key stakeholders.
Keep current with latest Internal Communications industry technologies, research and trends.
Qualifications
A minimum of two (2) years work experience (or equivalent) in Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism, Marketing or a related field, preferably with experience in energy public relations or communications.
Bachelor''''s degree required; an advanced degree is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to set priorities and counsel senior management.
Demonstrated ability to lead a work team and manage vendors and budgets.
Proven results-oriented record, with ability to develop effective strategies quickly to respond to changing circumstances, the ability to understand and communicate complex issues clearly and accurately, and the ability to execute tactical activities.
Excellent writing, analytic and presentation skills. Outstanding, demonstrated communication skills and superior attention to detail, with ability to manage several projects simultaneously
Detail-oriented, well-organized self-starter with the ability to work well with all levels of management. Excellent relationship-building skills. Must possess a sense of urgency and focus.
Some travel required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
