Job Purpose:
Provides administrative services related to shipping and receiving goods.
Duties:
o Prepare documents to route incoming and outgoing shipments insuring all required data is provided and providing feedback to appropriate personnel for any missing data supplied by other departments
o Examine contents and compare with records to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Inspecting incoming for damage and rejecting or documenting appropriately
Documenting any shortages and corresponding with appropriate personnel regarding such issues
Perform final visual inspection, verification and count prior to freight departing
Preparing new inventory worksheets when applicable
o Orchestrate daily shipping timetable to insure all shipments are prepared in time for carriers while keeping the Warehouse Manager abreast of any possible bottleneck or potential failure for the day
o Communicate with carriers to arrange for delivery and pickup of inventory
o Prepare, in part or in whole, items to be shipped including picking, packing, staging, and labeling.
o Use of hand truck and other warehouse equipment as needed to move or convey shipments to staging, storing or work areas
o Update records in Company inventory management system including item receipts, cases, fulfillments and tasks
o Perform cycle counts
o Help maintain order, cleanliness, and efficiency in the warehouse.
oEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
