AECI is aTouchstone Energy Cooperative.The Springfield Headquarters is currently seeking applicants for a Supervisor, SystemOperations in our Engineering & Operations Division. The principal focus of the positionis to lead the operation of the control center to ensure the electrical needs of the AECIcustomers are always met and to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the BulkElectric System. Supervisory responsibilities include direct supervision of the SystemOperators, assisting in the preparation and tracking of individual and departmentalobjectives, and preparing and administering the departmental operating budget. Thisposition will assist in compliance with all applicable North American Electric ReliabilityCorporation (NERC) standards and Reliability Coordinator (RC) directives. Thisposition will also ensure coordination of scheduled and forced outages of generating unitsand Bulk Electric System elements with the Reliability Coordinator, adjacentTransmission Operators and our owner Transmission Cooperatives.Qualified applicants will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, orequivalent, or demonstrate comparable knowledge and experience. Previous supervisoryexperience is required. The successful applicant will demonstrate a solid understandingof electric power system operation and control. Time management, organizational andplanning skills are a must.
