Transactional Attorney
Duties: Will provide legal counsel to company's global procurement organization. Will counsel Corporate Procurement Services, the group within company's global purchasing organization responsible for non-production related procurement and via company, the organization that provides moving and storage services of company's equipment to company's customers. Draft, review, edit and negotiate a myriad of agreements to support the business of company's corporate Procurement Services group, including: agreements to obtain supplemental labor; agreements to procure marketing, printing and research services; agreements to license custom and off-the-shelf computer software, and application service provider services; agreements to procure shipping, warehousing and other logistics services; agreements regarding business travel, transportation and related services for company employees; and agreements regarding energy, maintenance and other services for company facilities. agreements for consulting and subcontractor services. Create and update contract templates, and terms and conditions for standardized transactions. Prepare and deliver educational materials to support clients; including, providing training workshops for company supplier managers and commodity managers. Provide backup legal support as needed for certain other business groups within company's Global Purchasing organization and company's supply chain organization, which may include backup legal counseling for production procurement and production supply chain issues for company's Global Purchasing offices in Asia andcompany's Global Manufacturing & Supply Chain Group. When needed, such backup support may involve manufacturing agreements; OEM agreements; design, development and supply agreements; services agreements; software licensing agreements; and freight forwarding, customs brokerage, warehousing and other logistics services agreements. Advise business units of company -specific policy implications related certain transaction structures and/or terms. Serve as primary point of contact with third-party class action settlement companies and assess feasibility of company participation in such actions. Coordinate feedback from various subject-matter-experts (i.e. tax, risk management, etc.) to support transactions. Draft, review, edit and negotiate moving and storage agreements to support the business of Via company. Provide counsel regarding general purchasing issues including counsel to strengthen relationships with vendors. Assist in avoidance of and resolution of disputes with vendors and Via company customers. Respond to subpoenas and attorney correspondence.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
