Senior Counsel - Employment and Labor
The candidate will provide legal information, analysis, and advice in order to contribute to the accomplishment of the Corporation's objectives, and to ensure compliance with applicable US and global labor and employment laws and regulations. Will report to Associate General Counsel. Provide guidance to one or more clerical or administrative staff and may provide work direction to others, including paralegals. Obtaining an in-depth understanding of the clients' organization and business objectives and keeping informed of current legal developments that might affect the clients' operations. Providing sound, balanced, and reasonable legal advice, using common sense and prudence in evaluating situations. Inspiring confidence, defending positions firmly without being stubborn, explaining alternatives and legal risks, and giving practical legal advice. Demonstrating the ability to know when to utilize resources from outside the organization. Maintaining an appropriate overall breadth of legal knowledge. Using initiative and creativity in problem-solving.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
