The Graduate School is hiring an information specialist to develop and manage communications. The information specialist will be responsible for creating a clear, concise, and consistent identity for marketing/branding locally, nationally, and internationally. The specialist will develop and implement an organizational strategic communications plan involving, print, internet, and other media; will oversee communications to students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members; and will have responsibility for designing and maintaining the Graduate
School web site.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Successful applicant must have strong writing, editing, and communication skills. Must have website development and maintenance skills, and experience in new media communications. Experience with Dreamweaver and
Drupal HIGHLY DESIRABLE. Experience in videography and video editing HIGHLY DESIRABLE. Must have proficient computer skills, especially with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. Should be creative, organized, detail-oriented, and motivated. Must be able to multi-task, have a sense of humor, and be team oriented. Prefer someone with a communications vision and experience in public relations, media
relations, brand promotion, marketing communications, advertising, or other related field, with good knowledge of communications and public relations principles and practices.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
