The communications specialist for Global Supply Chain will successfully develop and execute global communication plan for One Company Supply Chain that supports roadmap objectives and align with Operation & Engineering's overall communications plan. The individual must have excellent writing skills and be a strong communications leader, advocate and expert for the organization using communication as a tool to drive performance and delight customers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver a full-spectrum communication strategies that help drive performance, improve employee engagement and enhance the organization reputation. Direct P&W One Company Supply Chain initiatives, working closely with P&W Canada.
- Coach One Company Supply Chain leadership to coach on communication tactics and provide expertise on presentations, speeches, media opportunities, and participation in industry conferences and use of industry leaders.
- Develop communications strategies to engage supply chain suppliers.
- Manage and produce high-quality, timely and relevant communications for employees using multimedia, including: all-hands and skip level meetings, Web sites, mysite, Operations & Engineering e-newsletter, video, podcasting, and electronic Tool Box Talk (or equivalent);
- Work closely with UTC One Company Supply Chain to coordinate company-wide messaging, processes and programs.
- Actively participate on the Operations & Engineering (O&E) Communications Council
- Team cross-functionally on key initiatives
- Maintain standard work and templates for consistency of all key processes
- Track and measure product and service to assess and improve performance/return on investment - using ACE tools to provide world class communications
- BA/BS degree with 6 to 10
years of experience in general management, marketing or communications
- MA degree is preferred
- Degrees in English, Journalism, Public Relations or Communications are preferred.
- Strategic thinker and tenacious self-starter with strong interpersonal, influencing and teaming skills
- Comfortable working in global environment and across different organizational levels
- Strong project management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to excel in fast-paced environment with short deadlines
- Experience with traditional and non-traditional communication platforms, including, print, electronic, video and events and leveraging of social media tools to achieve business objectives
- Proficient in Quark, Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop, MS Office and Publisher
- Experience in media relations, crisis communications and serving as a corporate spokesperson
- Must become an ACE associate within 18 months of start date
