Jr. Systems Administrator

Position Description:
CGI Federal is looking for a Jr. Systems Administrator to work in our Dumfries, VA location. The successful candidate will manage an enterprise application supporting thousands of users. Working with the team, the successful candidate will have the responsibility to upgrade Microsoft operating systems (O/S), apply requisite O/S patches, implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and perform network maintenance. Expertise and work efforts focus on knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and network configurations. Working with multiple development environments, the administrator will also assist performing appropriate patching. This administrator will create and maintain appropriate documentation and contribute in team discussions and meetings and perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 1 year of directly related work experience required. High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of directly related work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Additional requirements
Ability to successfully complete the CGI Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance is required for continued employment; US Citizenship is required.
Microsoft 2003 and 2008 operating system skills.
Network configuration and management skills.
Must be able to support the program Monday - Friday.
STIG implementation.
DIACAP compliance.
Backup & restore of operating systems
