Scope of the Position:
Member of the Corning Optical Communications Wireless Engineering and Support Services team responsible for managing multiple facets of DAS-related projects within a defined geography. The successful candidate will manage direct (turnkey) and indirect (non-turnkey) projects, wireless service provider coordination, VAR/Partner support, and other pre/post-sales activities as necessary.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Contributing as the key driver for the successful implementation of the Corning Optical Communications Wireless' products and services through:
Serving as the on-site Project Manager responsible of the overall success of assigned projects in both team and autonomous environments
Creating, tracking and driving project schedules, including the coordination of multiple subcontractors and concurrent activities
Developing project scopes and statements of work for retaining contractor services and for inclusion in proposals and construction agreements
Maintaining project budget(s) from pre-implementation through system commissioning and optimization
Participating as an active team member of the Corning Optical Communications Wireless Services group, specific responsibilities include:
Working with other team members as needed to create professional, competitive proposals and quotations.
Coordinate Troubleshooting and Commissioning Support for Corning Optical Communications Wireless DAS systems
Participating in customer meetings and contract negotiations as needed, including Implementation Schedules, Warranty/Maintenance/Technical Support T&Cs, Risk Assessment/Mediation Planning, etc.
Representing the Corning Optical Communications Wireless' products and services to partners and customers.
Travel time: Up to 60% travel may be required.
Desired Locations: Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Southern CA or Phoenix
Qualifications:
Background in Wireless/Mobility/Cellular networks and/or Distributed Antenna Systems.
Experience implementing and managing carrier and/or enterprise wireless deployments.
A minimum of 3 years experience in a Project Management, Implementation and/or Deployment role
Demonstrated ability to learn new products/technologies.
A minimum of 4 years experience in telecommunications in such positions as Project Manager, Implementation Manager, RF Engineer or Operations Manager.
AASor equivalent required, PMP and/or Bachelors Degree preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
