Senior Accountant
Growing public company on the Cobb side of town.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
Ability to function and meet all month-end close timeline schedules.
General ledger duties
Prepare and reconcile income statement and balance sheet accounts
Prepare annual financial statements
Assist in annual budget preparations
Verify the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger by investigating variances, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring all transactions, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and journal entries, are accounted for in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Assist in preparing for quarterly reviews and annual audits
Analytical review of monthly financial statements that includes explaining budget to actual variances.
Ensure corporate compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404, including closing process, consolidations and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
CPA Certification is required (CPA track)
Minimum of 5 years' of progressive accounting/finance experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX experience
PeopleSoft a +
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
