Summary: The Process Technician II is responsible for the safe and proper operation of all plant process equipment. They provide leadership for the plant in all aspects of plant operation. They are to produce budgeted amounts of product in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner in compliance with environmental laws.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following:
Follow all established safety procedures for safe operation of equipment and handling of chemicals.
Oversee all areas of the biodiesel production involved in the safe startup, operation, and shutdown of the plant.
Follow product run sheets and troubleshoot any issues offering potential solutions and daily reports to management. Utilize SPC in performance reporting to management.
Perform monitoring and prescribed checks of all operating equipment.
Maintain proper records and logs of activities and operating conditions.
Report any changes in machine measures and performance.
Provide leadership in professionalism and ethics.
Perform lab analysis as needed to verify process and product specifications are maintained.
Ensure all work areas are kept clean and free of clutter after each job or task.
Write work orders and ensure all maintenance work is done in accordance with established safety rules.
Work with other operators and supervision to cross-train in all operating areas.
Understand and support QSH&E; goals and objectives, and on-going improvement plans and activities.
Perform other duties and assignments as directed by HPB management.
EDUCATION and/or
Experience: A high school diploma or GED is required. A two year degree in science related field or prior experience in a chemical, petrochemical or rendering plant preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret in the English language correspondence, general business reports, professional journals, technical procedures or reports. Ability to write clear, accurate, concise reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply mathematical formulas to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to make decisions on routine matters. Ability
to define and solve practical problems, collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
DECISION MAKING
Responsibilities: Must work primarily in an advisory capacity. Have informal contact daily with supervisor. Good organizational and writing skills necessary to track and document QMS and Operating Policies.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lift 50 lbs occasionally. Must be able to move from place to place to all areas of production. Must be able to climb ladders or platforms. Must be able to wear all safety and production related equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work environment varies from an office, Plant production and outside climate conditions, based on the situation. Noise level varies upon which area of production employee is working in.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: The hours and days of work are established as needed by operations and at the discretion of management and may be adjusted (increased or decreased) by management as required. Must be able to work flexible schedule as necessary.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
