Palmetto Primary Care Physicians is a growing and busy family and specialty group currently located in seven counties in South Carolina. We are seeking a qualified individual to work as a full time Payment Poster. The ideal candidate will possess basic knowledge of reading an EOB and have one year prior experience in insurance billing. Must have knowledge of third party billing requirements. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Comparing itemized list of proper payment postings to payment method received from insurance carrier.
Posting third party insurance payments and denials to patient's accounts.
Posting payments made by patients to include cash, checks, and credit cards.
Balancing at the end of each batch.
Working special reports and projects.
Maintaining confidentiality of all information.
Completing work within authorized time to assure compliance with departmental standards.
Demonstrating knowledge of, and supporting, practice mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies, and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
Performing others duties as required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
