Position Overview:
Reporting to the VP Sales & Marketing LS EPG Americas, the Market and Business Development Manager is a new position within the organization supporting two primary directives: 1) Americas market penetration and profitable growth, including the development of a plan to diversify the existing customer base in the Americas and 2) Leading the Marketing activities and overall organization of New Product Development and refining the current process to better direct resources towards those projects which will lead to high growth and profitability improvement.
Responsibilities and Objectives Include the Following:
Lead market and industry research
Formulation, assessment, and refining of business model / strategic plans to ensure attractive / profitable market pursuit
Initial focus will be placed on Data Center, Locomotive, Turbine, Marine / diesel-electric market evaluation for the Americas
Develop channel maps for Americas market participation
Oversee and compile industry research; track market, competitive and regulatory trends with product management, legal, and engineering
Manage Americas NPD process with Engineering
Integrate market analyses and customer segmentation data to provide recommendations on new market entry / current market life-cycle management; prioritize opportunistic targets
Prioritize NPD programs to ensure alignment with customer needs and pain points with adequate return on investment
Involvement will begin at concept and continue through initial customer delivery
Resource allocation will be managed with engineering
Support globalized product branding strategy with Ind. Automation Corporate
Support development of existing and potential marquee customer relationships
Support identification of strategic partners and acquisitions opportunities
Job Requirements
3-5 Years business experience in product marketing, sales or an engineering role.
Related electrical equipment or industrial equipment experience a plus.
BS in Engineering or Marketing and/or MBA
