a search firm specializing in the Solid State lighting industry. We have positions at all levels with Architectural, commercial, Industrial, Residential, and Solid State Lighting devices, modules, Systems, lamp, and ballast manufacturers.
Our client is a fast growing lamp distributor with 34 years of profitable operating history. Client has launched a high end specification grade LED based down lighting product line in 2012 and is now seeking to spin that business into a separate company with separate office, branding, engineering, and support resources. They are seeking an experienced VP/GM level individual with extensive down lighting experience to assume the role of:
President - Location can be Brooklyn, Queens, or Manhattan areas of NYC
We seek an entrepreneurial leader who will establish a separate operating presence, set the strategic direction and lead all aspects of sales growth and P&L. We are looking for a do what it takes take charge sales executive who will live and breathe sales growth, and drive innovative new product development, and be rewarded generously during an exit opportunity.
Requirements:
? Master's Degree in Business, Marketing or related area is preferred
? Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Vice President or Executive-level sales, marketing, operations executive of a specification grade down lighting company with full P&L responsibility, solid marketing knowledge, and in an intense customer service organization.
? Adept at motivating others and be driven to exceed goals and profit targets.
? Thorough knowledge of direct response marketing and sales, customer service, profit and loss management, regulatory compliance, and employee/customer motivation and retention.
? Ability to develop and maintain strategic and long-range plans for the division that will enable it to meet the growth expectations of the company.
? Ability to establish standards in every department and manage to those standards
? Ensure company policies are followed, and create an environment that fosters training/development of employees, motivates them to excel, and that is professional and treats employees with respect and dignity.
