Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar degree or equivalent experience,Employees in California must have a Bachelor's degree in the applicable field, or an applicable certification, equivalent certificate or any required license. Equivalent experience will not be considered.
Required Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 8 yrs demonstratable experience in system administration and support of large client-server based IT enterprise; OR 5 yrs full-time computer science work that can be substituted for the Bachelor's degree with 8 years additional demonstratable experierence described above. - Experience shall include installation, configuration, and networking of UNIX and / or NT based platforms. Experience shall include: creating, modifying and deleting user accounts, performing system back-ups, and maintaining system configuration files. - Must have fundamental understanding of operating systems and be familiar with either UNIX or MNT commands or utilities at the user level. - Experience in installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems and commercial software packages. - ability to develop and implement enterprise backup / recovery strategies, server configuration and consolidation, and verification of the health and status of the entire IT infrastructure. - ability to provide support for enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, e-mail services, security protection mechanisms, and the interoperabiity of UNIX and NT based systems. - In addition, the candidate must have the skills mentioned in the description above.
Preferred Skills: Posses a vaild RHCSA or higher Red Hat certfication; valid VMWare certfication
