The HIT Support Specialist provides application system support to end users for inquiries received via the telephone, email, or service desk software. This position assists primarily with troubleshooting healthcare software applications for field providers in home health, outpatient therapy, and skilled nursing within a call center environment.

Key responsibilities include:
Provides direct support via telephone, email or service desk software for system applications
Assesses nature of operational or technical issues to determine appropriate actions and advises associates on best practices based on knowledge of internal business issues and processes to improve operations and products
Provides consultation and expert advice to management related, operational, technical issues, and improvements
Troubleshoots set up and configuration of system hardware and software within the scope of skills and experience; maintains set up files within the application system
Interacts closely with system users and Business Process Owners in order to share knowledge and improve understanding of operational processes; shares ideas with the Business Process Owners to better system functionality

We seek the following principal
Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree and three years related experience
Ability to solve moderately complex problems
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Experience with troubleshooting for home health, skilled nursing, and outpatient therapy software/ hardware applications preferred
