Job Description
NiSource Inc. is seeking a candidate to manage the general and auto liability, workers'''' compensation and other liability claims in a fast-paced corporate risk management environment. This position is accountable for coordination of claims management across outside vendors, operating companies and internal corporate customers while mitigating the financial risks of the organization.
This position will report directly to the Director, Corporate Insurance and is responsible for the development and engagement of the claims management team.
Responsibilities include:
Directly responsible for the work product of the claims team, their professional development and level of employee engagement
Monitor and audit liability and workers compensation claims for compliance with reserve policies and best practice
Management of various Third-Party Administrator claims services
Maintain favorable, proactive relationships with internal and external legal counsel
Liaise with NiSource business units on complex cases and serve as a resource to address their individual needs and concerns
Ensure claims function is performing at or above relevant industry benchmarks
Interaction with insurers, reinsurers and brokers to resolve coverage issues
Respond to data requests for insurance renewals, accounting accruals, benchmarking and program assessments
Use RMIS systems to track aggregates and supply inputs to monthly financial reporting
Prepare and file accurate and timely reports to the various state Workers'''' Compensation Boards on coverage and state-specific issues
Business travel estimated at 25%
Qualifications
This position requires the following special skills/characteristics:
Eight to ten years of liability claims experience with an energy or large industrial company
Undergraduate degree from a four year, accredited college or university
CPCU, ARM or other insurance designations preferred
Full understanding of primary and excess liability insurance policies, including self-insured retention and high deductible programs
Working experience / knowledge with captive insurers and captive insurance programs
Working knowledge of differences across various state workers'''' compensation boards within the NiSource footprint
Working knowledge of Risk Management Claims Systems
Excellent interpersonal & negotiation skills
Strong written and oral presentation skills
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work in a team environment

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
