Comfortaire's role of the Territory Sales Manager is to provide leadership to Sales Representatives to Retail Partners in the Eastern US territory. This position is responsible for managing core responsibilities including: developing and training top sales representatives, coaching and mentoring sales representatives to elevate the sales and training of Retail Partners, engaging and challenging sales territories by sales representatives accountable for their performance. Comfortaire's Territory Sales Manager challenges the status quo, seeking out new ideas, identifying and driving growth. They will think creatively while encouraging others to do the same and will play a key role in executing Comfortaire's vision and strategy.
Recruit and retain sales representatives with demonstrated success in sales to and training for Retail Partners; preferably with experience in specialty mattress products
Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives
Work with cross functional team to develop to strategic marketing plans and growth initiatives
Evaluate and recommend product development opportunities targeted at existing and new markets; working with cross functional team to bring to market
Develop and recommend product positioning and pricing strategies to achieve corporate objectives
Ensure effective control of sales performance and act decisively to ensure achievement of goals
Proactive develop and maintain top level relationships with major accounts
Develop and implement third party Retail Partner training programs
Monitor competitor's products, sales and marketing activities and communicates changes
Proactively work with credit department and sales representatives to insure Retail Partner compliance with corporate credit policies.
Work directly with Retail Partners to adjudicate account and consumer issues
Plan and participate in trade shows, furniture markets, business conferences and Retail Partner training meetings
Assist with the development of marketing and sales operating budgets
Manages selling expense budget with frugality
Communicate and execute corporate policies in a fair and consistent manner
Experience / Education:

years demonstrated success in managing a team of sales professionals
5
years demonstrated success in sales or training preferably with 100 bedding retailers
Experience with specialty mattress products is preferred
BS/BA degree in sales/marketing preferred; or minimum of 10 years experience in sales or training
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong leadership, coaching, team building and people development skills
Dynamic and engaging communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to gauge and adjust to the audience
Demonstrated moxie to respond appropriately and professionally to customers, colleagues and direct reports
Driven to motivate, develop and coach direct reports through disciplinary issues, as well as developmental opportunities while providing positive encouragement
Evident work ethic; ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work independently in a fast paced environment; able to work under pressure and effectively manage stress
Resiliency to embrace challenges and strive to find creative solutions
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Requires normal physical exertion within an office environment (i.e. sitting, computer and telephone use)
Flexibility with work schedule which will include evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to maintain travel schedule of up to 3 weeks per month
