Job Descriptions:
The Systems Engineer role is to strategically design and implement enterprise information systems and server architectures that support core organizational functions, and assure their high availability. This individual will gain organizational commitment for all systems and software plans, as well as help evaluate and select all technologies required to execute infrastructure-based initiatives. Additionally, the Systems Engineer provides technical leadership across the organization, from strategic decision making, to project planning to reactive tactical task execution. The successful candidate will evaluate, analyze, design, coordinate testing, integrate, monitor, forecast, and plan capacity of computing resources in the data centers. This position requires design and operational experience in UNIX/Linux and operational experience in Windows 2003/2008 (Active Directory).
Responsibilities:
Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining corporate Data Center systems running Linux and Windows OS.
Develop, document, and communicate plans for investing in systems architecture, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility.
Where applicable, design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
Demonstrated experience with providing infrastructure support for the following relational databases: SQL Server, Oracle: Open Source DBs (MySQL, Postgres, Mongo).
Engineer, administer, and support complex environments that consist of various operating systems, enterprise storage arrays, virtualized resources, and multiple networks for a customer facing, revenue-dependent infrastructure stack.
Optimizing existing computing resources to meet application needs
Providing capacity planning recommendations based on metrics to help establish and maintain standards, uniform procedures, and 24/7 service levels across all computing platforms (inclusive of computing platform and current/planned systems technologies)
Leveraging the knowledge in planning for process and performance improvement: providing technical consultation to various groups within IT
Staying updated with new technologies and best practices: participating as a Subject Matter Expert in enterprise-wide technology change programs having an effect on computing systems infrastructure environment

Technical Qualifications and Requirements:
5-7 years designing UNIX and/or Linux OS based infrastructure for critical applications
5-7 years supporting UNIX/Linux based server environments utilizing SAN attached storage
3-5 years of experience with Windows administration to include Active Directory
3-5 years supporting UNIX/Linux systems for Oracle Database.
2-4 years of experience building and supporting servers in a virtual environment
Experience with data protection and server hardening
Experience supporting Windows Clustering preferred
Experience supporting Windows systems for SQL Server environment preferred
Experience working within an ITIL framework preferred
1Experience working in a PCI-compliant and/or PHI environment is a plus
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University
Industry certifications, preferably UNIX/Linux related; ITIL a plus

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
