This positions works under the general guidance & supervision of the Personal Property Branch Supervisor (Travel Clerk LEAD); must be capable to work Front Desk, perform personal property shipment/storage services, makes appointments for counseling, and informs customers of entitlements & responsibilities during counseling sessions IAW all applicable Regulations (Army Regulations, Defense Travel Regulations, Joint Federal Travel Regulations and US Army Garrison requirements). Services include entitlement counseling and scheduling any combination of the following through the automated system: unaccompanied baggage, household goods shipments, storage (Temporary, Non-Temporary, and Special), local moves, personally procured moves, and authorization for privately owned vehicle shipment. Provides counseling to authorized customers within allotted time parameters. Prepares shipment applications and counseling worksheets for household goods and privately owned vehicle authorization for members assigned to outer islands within the state of Hawaii, or Pacific AOR handling the counseling via telephone, fax and/or scan and email. Also prepares Shipment Change Slips, submitting to JPPSO-HI for all corrections, additions, deletions, and cancellations to original shipment(s).
TCII level is more detailed in Regulation research & knowledge; may already be cross-trained or display the skills, ability, and obvious potential in 1 or more of the TCIII areas of expertise; and may be called upon to conduct various internal or external briefings.
Required to perform housekeeping; expected to work overtime when required. Work hours and work location may, with proper notification, be adjusted to include shift work to meet contract requirements. May be assigned to support contract support requirements in job-related area cross training's and could be included in tasks involving environmental, safety and security requirements.
Duties are typically performed in an office environment. Will be required to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, lift, carry items and walk periodically throughout the workday.
Required Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1-year related work experience
Proficiency with computer applications to include MS Office suite
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with people
Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to research and explain regulations, policies and procedures
Ability to obtain/maintain the security clearance required for the position

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
