Job Summary
The Engine Technical Support Hotline Agent is committed to:
The Engine Tech Support Hotline supports our philosophy of inspiring confidence by enabling our service providers around the world to provide outstanding support to customers. It provides factory-based technical support to clients in the US and Canada for engine troubleshooting and repair. Its hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Engine Tech Support Hotline Agents use their product knowledge, technical expertise, knowledge of service systems, and customer service skills to provide troubleshooting and repair support to service personnel in US and Canadian Distributor shops.
Job Duties
Provide assistance to service personnel via the Engine Technical Support Hotline
Document and prioritize technical support requests in the Engine Tech Support Request (ETSR) Db
Provide prompt responses/solutions to common requests
Document responses/solutions in the ETSR Db
Manage the escalation of more complex requests to Service Engineers and/or DFSEs
Recommend actions/improvements to address the causes of common requests
Support engine technical support/escalation process improvement activities
## Job Requirements
5
years of experience in Service Engineering, Product Engineering, Product Development, Applications Engineering or an equivalent group(s) with technical problem solving responsibilities
Familiarization with Cummins engine systems and engine applications
Familiarization with Cummins electronic diagnostics tools
Familiarization with Cummins engine troubleshooting and repair procedures
Familiarization with Cummins Service information systems (i.e QSOL)
Familiarization with Cummins Warranty systems and Warranty Administration policies/procedures
Familiarization with Penske systems
EPA Engines and engine repair
Familiarization with Cummins technical, customer support, and Warranty administration organizations
Strong PC skills (e.g. Lotus Notes, Intranet/Internet, etc.)
Strong written and verbal communications skills
