Eaton Corporation in Beltsville, MD has an opening for Coupling CNC Operator on 2nd Shift. The candidate must be capable of setting-up and operating CNC mills; produce and check quality of finished parts; and must also possess a basic understanding of blueprint drawings. The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Essential Functions:
Be able to perform minor set-ups and operate multiple machines, to execute a sequence of operations such as turn, drill, and bore a variety of metal components.
Fully understands production routers.
Material types, lot numbers and quantity required.
Router sign-off procedures.
Cutter verification stamps and SPC data entry
Can identify inserts, cutters and general tooling for specific operations
Identify Materials and AMS specifications.
Be able to perform basic setup
Use all machines commands and controls
Understands and maintains UPL boards data.
Work in different cells in the factory
Perform all 5S
activities and keep immediate work area clean and free from hazards.
Dedicate a minimum of one hour a week on continuous improvements activities.
Maintain cell charts
Load program from DNC to machines.
Capable of interpreting technical drawings in accordance with standard shop practices.
Must be capable of making offset adjustments and performing minor program edits.
Ability to safely and accurately setup and use a wide variety of hand tools and gages.
Work in accordance with general safety rules and practices.
Responsible for finished parts conformity to print or specification.
Participate in continuous improvement of processes.
Fully complies with ethical policies of the company
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic
Qualifications:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Minimum 1 year of experience.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ''Green Card Holder''), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Beltsville area (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
Position Criteria:
Operate machines, and any other calibration equipment such as calipers, Allen wrench, and air gun or any other equipment necessary to perform job functions.
Must able to read, write, and speak English.
Basic mathematical skills required.
Job requires lifting a minimum of 25lbs or up to 50lbs on a daily basis, as well as standing on feet up to 8-10 hours per day. Constant use of hands is essential.
