Production Control Engineer $40-50,000
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Enter equipment and parts orders into Visual and revise as needed
Assist in smoothing order flow throughout company
Create engineering masters and work orders as required either by customer orders or by production control
Purchasing, inventory control and quoting of raw steel product
Purchase products as needed per production control
Material and product cost reduction
Calculate steel weights and perform trigonometry functions as needed
Good communications skills working with engineering, shop personnel and vendors
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Working knowledge of mechanical engineering blueprints to include Autocad or Autocad Lt 2007 (Design experience preferred)
General understanding of manufacturing principles and procedures
General math and trigonometry skills
Keyboard speed and proficiency
Experience: Associates Degree in Manufacturing Technology (or similar discipline) and /or two year minimum experience in a manufacturing environment
OPTIONAL
History of purchasing/inventory control and/or steel processes
General understanding of accounting principles and procedures
Familiarity with 3D softwareEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
