Technical Writer will work with minimal supervision and must be able to develop technical documents, write Aerospace Test Reports, and check others work for clarity. Candidate must be detail-oriented and capable of generating detailed, well-illustrated procedures for electronics equipment, based on schematics, assembly drawings, incorporating photographs and/or models. Writer must be proficient in Word processing and at working with pdfs.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Aerospace test report creation.
Generates detailed, well-illustrated procedures for electronics equipment, based on schematics, assembly drawings, incorporating photographs and/or models.
Coordinates with engineers and other technical personnel to acquire and/or verify information.
Ensures accuracy and completeness of technical documentation.
Reviews documents prepared by other technical writers for content and clarity.
Uses computer skills and technical knowledge to research and generate update manuals and engineering change proposals/orders.
Required Software Skills: Adobe & Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)

Qualifications:
Experience in developing technical documents
Must demonstrate excellent organization, communication and writing skills
Very good oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Required Education &
Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from and accredited four-year college or university.
Two (2) plus years of experience as technical writer, or related engineering field Aerospace experience a plus.
Experience writing qualification test reports.k
Position: Contract, 6 months
Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49152
Employment Criteria: U.S. Citizenship is required by law or government contract for this position. This position includes access or potential access to ITAR technical data. Therefore, candidates will need to qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, a Permanent Resident who does not work for a foreign company/foreign government/foreign governmental agency or organization, or a political asylee in compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
