The Sales Representative is responsible for product sales and merchandising, customer service, and account development, along with other sales and service functions to promote consumer demand in bars, restaurants, and liquor stores. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Understand and manage territory, with regard to market conditions, competitive activity, consumer preferences and all other factors, which impact on the customer and the sales process.
Manage monthly liquor store merchandising for designated territory.
Develop and market products to customer On and Off premise accounts.
Perform administrative functions as prescribed by company guidelines, policies and other procedures at all times.
Maintain accurate database within assigned territory.
Maintain knowledge of Southern Wine & Spirits product lines.
Survey the local landscape for business opportunities, travel to customer locations for face-to-face contact and facilitate regular communication with suppliers.
Attend major promotions.
Qualifications
At least two years of experience in the adult beverage industry or consumer goods sales experience.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must be able to work independently and take ownership of assigned duties, and meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
Superior organizational skills and high- self motivation
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to handle up to 50 lb cases and other point-of-sale materials/displays with or without reasonable accommodation.
Proficient with the use of Microsoft office applications and other software applications.
Must be able to meet sales volume goals and work in a fast paced environment.
Must have own transportation, possess a valid driver license, and an acceptable driving record.
