Job Description
The Medimmune Global Planning and Business Operations (GPBO) group is recruiting a Business Analyst. The candidate will work with the Planning Team, supporting MedImmune initiatives spanning Research, Development, Clinical, Biotech Operations and the iMeds. The candidate will gather data from a variety of sources (such as business systems, scientific systems, interviews, etc.) and perform analyses for trends or conclusions based on the data. The incumbent will also prepare reports, presentations, and other formal communications for both GPBO and executive use, and will present these in a variety of settings. The candidate may also be tasked with participating and/or leading small planning or improvement initiatives on behalf of the company leadership.
Essential Job Duties:
Work on strategic initiatives in support of MedImmune & AZ annual goals; with guidance from senior GBPO staff, develop and perform analyses to support project recommendations
Support the GBPO Team in interactions with R&D; leadership to understand and capture their objectives, needs and ways of working in order to address business challenges
Develop high-quality project deliverables (e.g. reports, presentations, interview guides and summaries, etc.)
Perform business analysis, leveraging data from internal and external sources to assess trends and help develop recommendations
Manage project meetings - work with senior GBPO staff to establish agendas, capture discussion points and follow-up on action items
Identify opportunities to optimize and simplify business processes

1-3 years of business experience required
Familiarity with common data analysis and visualization tools
Knowledge of benchmarking / competitive intelligence
Prior analyst experience within a strategy consulting firm preferred
Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
Project management experience or certification preferred
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Science or Business related major required
MBA preferred
