Visualization Skills/
Experience:
Strong knowledge of information retrieval, data mining, statistical and data analysis
Demonstrated advanced skills with Java, Hadoop, Mongo and interested in new technologies
Demonstrate an ability to quickly understand business requirements and be able to translate into expected technical design
Experience with Hadoop or other MapReduce paradigms
Interested in big data, statistical modeling, data mining, recommendation or search solutions
Proficiency in SQL
Solid understanding and working knowledge or relational databases (e.g. DB2 PostgresSQL Oracle etc.)
Ability to understand the rapidly evolving data visualization technology, trends, and tools
Assist in driving the organization's adoption of improved visual representation of data to allow clearer communication, viewer engagement, and faster/better decision-making
Assist in the research, development, and support of data visualization techniques and analytics
Passion for transforming data and research into compelling visual stories
Create insightful automated dashboards and data visualizations to track key metrics and trends
Data Lead Skills/Experience
Strong knowledge of information retrieval, data mining, statistical and data analysis, and data architecture concepts.
Demonstrate an ability to quickly understand business requirements and be able to translate into expected data & technical design
Solid understanding and working knowledge or relational databases (e.g. DB2, PostgresSQL, Oracle, etc.)
Proven understanding & keeps abreast of industry trends/best practices as it relates to data architecture, data management, and data design techniques and applies to work
Ability to understand technical environments and platforms for databases including data placement, performance, & security
Understanding of standard industry project lifecycles and methodology from planning to delivery and management/support of solutions.
Overall Skills/
Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree. Advanced degree or experience a plus
Experience with and solving enterprise-level data problems
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Comfortable interacting with executive management, clients, and internal teams
Proven experience working to tight deadlines
Strong desire to learn and keep current on emerging technologies, techniques & concepts
Experience with BI visualization tools like Cognos QlikView Acuate Pentaho Tibco Tableau & other emerging software options
U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder only, client NOT willing to sponsor visas.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
