Job Description:
We are looking for a Sr. Embedded Firmware Engineer with 5 to 12 years of experience.
Responsible for design, debugging, testing and evaluating of new and existing products in respect to embedded firmware
Timely development with milestones of each firmware application; keeping management abreast of any changes to specs or timelines
Provides instruction and guidance to hardware designers in component selection and design
Ability to work with vendors and contractors involved in development of products
Mentor junior team members and assist them as needed to develop great firmware
Assist in development and review of functional specifications and user documentation
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
5-12 yrs embedded software development in C; preferably in consumer products
Embedded experience, experience with limited-memory targets (8-bit and 32-bit)
Understanding of general processor architecture and functionality
Proficient in C (without expectations of niceties such as malloc)
Ability to read electrical schematics (signal connections, etc)
Experience with JTAG debugging
IAR Development tools a plus
Experience interfacing with Apple iDevices strongly desired
Successful candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and demonstrates strong communication and organization skills. Candidate is able to take initiative, manager and prioritize multiple projects, and work well with or without direct supervision
The ideal candidate would have experience with various RF technologies, 2.4GHz and 5GHz (Bluetooth, Zigbee, IEEE 802.11, FM, etc), Microchip, NXP and ST ARM based processors, Apple product standards and specifications. USB connectivity, digital audio and experience with Agile PLM also helpful.
Bottom Line Requirements:
