Eaton''s gear facility in Hastings, Nebraska has an opening for a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage respective departments in accordance to the Eaton Values and Philosophies. Direct manufacturing activities for the assigned shift. Establish leadership for the shift, and institute the control to make a cost-effective, quality product, which meets and exceeds customer expectations.
Position Criteria:
Experience in providing leadership support to high-performance work teams on the shift through utilization of Eaton Values and Philosophy and the Eaton Code of Ethics.
Experience in recommending and implementing processes and methods for continuous improvements in manufacturing
Experience in coordinating activities of the manufacturing operations groups to help achieve overall plant performance goals.
Experience in controlling direct labor input and maximize efficient plant inventory utilizing designated finish bank buffers.
Ability to follow scheduling and production directives to support plant manufacturing operations.
Experience in training, evaluating, coaching and developing subordinates utilizing a performance management system
Ability to provide effective communications to the shift and to the other shifts.
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor''s Degree from an accredited institution is required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or technical environment is required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Green Belt
Master''s degree from an accredited institution
3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
