Position
Summary:
Report to an Associate Director or above. Function as a primary statistician for multiple projects to provide support for non-clinical research, development and manufacturing (R&DM;) programs including, but not limited to: drug discovery, pre-clinical studies, assay and process development, and quality control. Apply statistical principles and techniques to provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems in R&DM; under general supervision. Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Build effective relationships with peers and management in biostatistics and senior members of other departments. Participate in intra- and inter- department infrastructure process.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
Primary statistician for multiple projects
Write programs in SAS or other software packages to validate analytical results in statistical reports
Develop software applications to streamline routine analysis
Participate in intra- and inter-department infrastructure processes
Position Requirements
Required Education and
Experience:
PhD in statistics or other related field with high statistical content with at least 4 years of relevant industry experience.
Required Skills:
Sound understanding and application of statistical methods and applications
General knowledge of drug R&D; regulatory process approval
Proficient with SAS and other analysis software
Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

Job Complexity:
Provide solutions to a range of difficult problems in R&DM; under general supervision while contributing to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Follow established procedures. Interact with internal peers within Biostatistics and senior managers of R&DM.;
