Job Description:
We are looking for a Project Manager with Large Machine Tools Experience.
Leading supplier of Machines for Composite Components for the Aerospace Industry and large Metal Cutting Machines for the Manufacturing Industry is looking for a Project Manager Machine Tools. These two lines of products share common platforms and modular components. The company is looking for a Project Manager inside the Composites Division. This Division develops and builds machines for the production of fiber reinforced plastic parts, e.g. for the aerospace or wind energy business.
Tasks:
The Project Manager has responsibility for the successful execution of turnkey projects, including achievement of contractual requirements, customer satisfaction, cost forecasting and control, scheduling, quality and performance.
The primary objective is to delivery to the customer a completed project that meets or exceeds the customer's expectations, but stays inside internal budget.
Manages overall project performance (scope, safety, quality, schedule, innovation, cost, and customer satisfaction).
Review and approve purchase orders for contract materials and services, and approve quality assurance and control requirements. Ensure timely delivery of quality information and materials and product quality
Review status reports and modify plans or schedules, as necessary, to ensure contract parameters are met. Manage project risks to avoid incurring delays, cost overruns, quality defects, etc.
Maintain close contact with customers and project participants to identify and resolve issues of mutual concern and to seek opportunities for additional business. Ensure timely contract completion, customer satisfaction, and desired financial return. In conjunction with related groups, develop business projections and implement strategies to achieve growth/profitability objectives, and ensure responsiveness to customers.
Serves as single-point of contact, establishing, maintaining and managing customer, sub-contractor and joint venture partner expectations (where applicable) regarding overall projectperformance.
Reports project status and performance data as required to management and stakeholders.
Analyze proposals, requirements and specifications. Coordinate project activities, arrange staffing for each phase of the project and assign specific responsibilities. Ensure that overall efforts are in concert with customer and Company requirements.
Delivers short-, mid- and long-term cost estimations for projects
Assist in the marketing and business development activities as required.
Demonstrate commitment to a Continuous Improvement philosophy including support of all quality, safety, productivity and performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications / Experience Required:
BS degree in Project Management, Engineering or related field preferred; Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering highly preferred.

years of relevant Project Management Experience required.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills required.
Able to work with minimum supervision
Proficient understanding of scheduling and software applications (e.g. MS Project) is required.
An understanding of Lean and Six Sigma preferred.
An understanding of assigning costs to the manufacturing process
Expert at communicating to all levels, able to effectively communicate with plant personnel, plant leadership, customers, and corporate level management.
Proficient in project management, with excellent analytical and organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, to organize and prioritize tasks, make appropriate decisions, and be comfortable in a setting where schedules and priorities change daily.
Good knowledge of large machine tools preferred
Experience in using SAP preferred
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Bottom Line Requirements:
1. BS degree Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

years of relevant Project Management Experience involving large machine tools.
3. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
4. Proficient understanding of scheduling and software applications (e.g. MS Project).
5. Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma and experience in using SAP preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
