Summary:
The Utilities Coordinator is responsible for tracking the status of utilities (water, power, gas, etc.) for all engineering projects.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in design, project and construction management of various engineering projects.
Plan and coordinate facility engineering projects in support of various organizations and units.
Develop and propose facility alternatives in terms of time, cost, utility, etc.
Requirements
Minimum of 5-10 years practical experience in utility coordination of multiple highway construction projects of varying sizes and levels of complexity.
Ability to evaluate design plans to determine utility conflicts and review utility relocation plans for their potential conflicts is essential.
Ability to effectively communicate with utility companies, railroad companies, design professionals, and local and state governmental officials is essential.
Knowledge of SCDOT Policy for Accommodating Utilities on Highway Rights-of-way desired.
Education:
BS degree in Civil Engineering or higher is preferred
