## Position Description
The Boeing Site Manager (BSM) is a new position responsible for overall coordination of satellite operations at a customer facility in the Southwestern United States.
The BSM will be responsible for supervision of all on-site Boeing employees and Boeing's support contractors involved in mission operations. The BSM is responsible for support to routine daily operations, timely response to discrepancy reports and anomalies and the successful integration of upgrades and modifications. The BSM will also be responsible for providing recommendations to customers and associate contractors, and for providing expertise to technical exchange meetings and ensuring support to working groups as required.
The BSM will be the senior Boeing on-site representative and will therefore be the Boeing's primary interface to customer leadership at the site. The BSM will functionally report to the Boeing Mission Operations Program Area Manager, but will also have accountabilities to other Boeing Program Management. Reporting duties include preparation and provision of project status summaries, performance metrics, cost and schedule status, and other programmatic data as required.
Since this is a new position, the BSM will have the opportunity to shape the assignment and implement initiatives that will improve mission efficiency and effectiveness. BSM is responsible for the recruitment, training, retention and career growth for all Boeing employees at the site, and for ensuring that all mission and contractual requirements are met.
Experience in satellite operations required. Degree in engineering preferred. Must have demonstrated ability to manage projects and personnel. Must have conceptual technical knowledge of satellite operations, systems, subsystems, system engineering and IT and have experience working with other contractors in a teaming environment. Preferred candidate to have knowledge of Boeing policies and procedures.

Ability to assign responsibilities and work tasks as a project leader in support of the overall project. Ability to lead and provide advice to subordinate managers on the activities and resources of assigned projects.

Extensive knowledge of risk, issue and opportunity management principles and tools and the ability to apply them in various situations.
