Our client, a leading, growing company is looking for a Java Web Developer to join their team in Norfolk, VA on a long-term contract basis. The contract is scheduled to run through the end of 2014, with a possibility for extension. You will be part of a project team focused on a new Web site initiative. The Software Development Team executes Web development projects that are a combination of coding and integration with internal and 3rd party Web applications. As a Java Web Developer, you will: Develop new and enhance existing Web based products using a combination of server-side and client-side technologies, including hands-on implementation, test, review, and documentation; Develop solutions and applications that scale across 100 unique markets and Web sites in a multi-site hosting architecture; Work with business owners during the requirement gathering and acceptance testing process; Utilize bug and enhancement tracking software and processes; Use version control systems effectively; and document solutions to institutionalize knowledge for the development, operational, support, and end user communities.
Requirements:
5
years of Java Web development experience in an Agile environment, including experience integrating with a third party product.
Must have experience working in a large, enterprise Web Hosting or ISP environment.
Experience with the following technologies required: Web 2.0, Java 1.6 (and above), SQL Server 2008 (and above), JavaScript, HTML, XML, CSS, AJAX, JSON.
Fluent in Object Oriented ( OO ) JavaScript programming techniques, including experience in managing common design and JavaScript libraries ( i.e. jQuery, Prototype, etc. ) across multiple sites.
Demonstrated professional development experience developing and consuming RESTful Web Services.
Experience with a SCM ( i.e. Git, Subversion, etc. ).
Unit testing and debugging using tools ( i.e. Firebug, Fiddler, etc. ).
Experience with media related Web sites is a strong plus.
Bachelors degree required. Technical discipline preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
