Job Description
The Jackson Laboratory is looking for a part-time (50%) Administrative Assistant II to support External Affairs under the direct supervision of the External Affairs Support Manager and work to support all department members. The AA will work on tasks such as: gathering, organizing, storing and supplying information; maintaining files; scheduling appointments and arranging meetings; producing routine correspondence, documents and reports and otherwise relieve managers, supervisors or professionals of routine administrative and business details.

Required Skills
Strong writing and database skills are required.
Demonstrated skill in effective oral and written communication.
Interpersonal relationship skills sufficient to effectively deal with a wide variety of people and personalities representing many levels of importance, sophistication and from a variety of disciplines.
Required Experience
Knowledge of administrative systems and processes as would normally be acquired through three (3) years of work in a position in which administrative duties were the major set of responsibilities, or completion of a post-high school training course in administrative support, and two (2) years of administrative work.
Knowledge of computer software applications as would normally be encountered in an office environment; knowledge of other equipment typically found in office settings as would normally be acquired through one (1) year of office experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
