Position Summary
The Marketing Finance Manager is responsible for completing analyses to support strategic Sales and Marketing initiatives, while monitoring the departmental budget and overall value delivered to the organization. This high visibility position will be involved in many projects that will help shape the future of Masterbrand Cabinets and requires the ability to consolidate diverse inputs from across the organization and to communicate conclusions and recommendations successfully.
Accountabilities
Partner with Marketing leadership to define, quantify and communicate the scope of opportunities
Control the Marketing and Customer Service departmental budgets
Work cross-functionally to develop, articulate and value marketing initiatives
Annual strategic planning/budgeting responsibilities.
Ensure accountability to deliver planned projects at budgeted levels
Communicate changes to underlying plans and financial impact effectively over the course of the year
Leads the development and presentation of financial analyses to support the strategic decision-making process within the Marketing department
Partners with marketing leaders to define, quantify and communicate the scope of opportunities
Evaluate the Marketing and Customer Service spend effectiveness and identification of potential cost savings opportunities
Accountable for the reporting and management of the cabinet display and selection center program
Provide financial direction for new Marketing and Customer Service initiatives
Ad hoc support to the Strategic Planning department including the annual strategic plan and budget
Characteristics & Attributes
Strong thought leadership and problem solving abilities. Able to identify core issues, develop resourceful and creative solutions, and drive results.
Excellent understanding of the principles of corporate finance, valuation, and financial statement analysis.
Strong organizational and execution skills. The candidate must be capable of moving assignments forward with high quality execution and minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills are a must.
Candidates must be self-motivated, flexible, and willing to take on significant responsibility with a positive attitude. They must also be comfortable with performing a wide range of responsibilities, from thinking broadly to executing detailed tasks.
Highly effective project leadership skills in multi-functional team settings.
Accomplished communication (written and verbal), presentation and facilitation skills.
Effective in gathering information from internal and external sources.
Some experience with a manufacturing organization, preferably in consumer goods or a make-to-order environment
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience of increasing responsibility within Finance. Additional experience in Sales or Marketing is preferred.
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
Ability to articulate a vision and drive results
Strong analytical skills
A team orientation with a proven ability to mentor and develop others
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Education
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business, finance or accounting
