Provides technical consulting on complex to highly complex projects. Devises or modifies procedures to solve medium to highly complex problems. Leads projects or subprojects of medium to high technical complexity and responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members. Responsible for system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Responsible for quality assurance review. Provides coaching and guidance to team.

Responsibilities:
Makes recommendations to improve process efficiency and effectiveness; review major architectural designs to ensure consistency, maintainability and flexibility with respect to overall system, technical and product architectures with in a business unit
Investigates and forecasts business and IT trends to define the technical direction within a business unit
Analyzes highly complex system, technical and product issues to develop the 3-5 year strategic systems direction
Work with business analysts and developers to create technical solutions that meet business and technical requirements
Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
Performs complex to highly complex source code development
Assists in complex to highly complex unit test case development
Develops complex to highly complex test scripts
Assists in the development of production support documentation
Provides functional/system integration testing support
Performs Quality Assurance architecture and design guide review
Contributes complex to highly complex technical alternatives
Conducts complex to highly complex impact analysis
Develops complex to highly complex component design
Provides complex to highly complex system/application architecture
Develops Build and Deployment guide
Develops guidelines and standards
Contributes to the development of project plans, and assigns and monitors tasks of lower level Software Developers as responsibilities and experience grow

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience, technical degree preferred

Generally 8 years of professional experience

Thorough knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies

Thorough knowledge of diverse technologies and new technical architecture principles and concepts

Thorough understanding of layered systems architectures and layered solutions and designs

Highly proficient in software engineering languages and tools; ability to develop on multiple platforms

Thorough knowledge of a business function(s) and I/T industry business issues; extensive knowledge of business operations, strategies and objectives

Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills

Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills
