The Caregiver provides personal care and support services to clients in an established Personal Care Program and Companion Care Program. He or she provides non-medical, in-home support and home management services and provides companionship to those individuals requiring socialization and minimum guidance for a safe, protected, clean, and orderly environment.
The ideal candidate for this position is at least 20 years of age and must have a high school diploma (GED is acceptable), must be bondable, must submit to random drug and alcohol testing, and must meet or exceed the minimum qualifications for the following background checks: Criminal Background Investigation, Motor Vehicle Driving Record, Credit History, and Professional and Personal Record Checks. Previous experience is preferred. In addition, he or she has a genuine desire to work with the elderly or disabled, has reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and current automobile insurance needed for possible client transportation. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills, professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
