Specialist Legal Counsel
The candidate will provide Legal support to the enterprise services business unit of company. Will provide legal expertise in support of business unit sales in the US and Canada for medium to large, complex IT services transactions, specifically IT outsourcing, business process outsourcing, applications development, maintenance and complex systems integration deals. Lead the overall legal strategies and assessment of risks for these deals while working closely with the sales team and other stakeholder groups. Act as deal lead and may also supervise 'second chair' attorney or non-attorney negotiator for larger more complex deals. Draft and negotiate contract terms and manages deal closings. For existing accounts, lead the resolution of legal, regulatory and business issues including contract disputes. Plan and facilitate the training and mentoring for less senior team members and internal clients on designated topics. Act as thought leader within an area of specialization by networking effectively to share subject matter expertise and exerting influence across a broad cross-section of the organization. Exert influence on external industry counsels, policies and regulatory bodies in area of specialization.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
