Legal Counsel
The candidate will counsel company's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) regarding investigations, litigation, government requests and pre-litigation disputes. Will manage relationships with outside counsel and with internal clients. Work with cross-departmental teams on company Fraud, Waste and Abuse policies and procedures. Should have J.D. degree and excellent academic credentials from ABA accredited law school. Should be an active member of a State Bar and willing to obtain Kentucky or Illinois state licensure. Must have 4-6 years of experience at a law firm or government or corporate in-house legal department. Should have experience with fraud investigations and litigation, the federal False Claims Act, and government inquiries and investigations. Experience with state Medicaid Fraud Control Units and other state health care regulatory agencies is a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
