Our client, a leading orthopedic company in Warsaw, IN, is seeking multiple Development Engineers for a 1 year contract assignment. Must have a Manufacturing background with New Product Development, Quality and Validation experience
Responsible for the design, development, and processing of implants and instruments. Work will encompass both the development of new products and maintenance of existing products.
Responsibilities:
Designing for manufacturability, inspectibility, and optimum cost
Generating prototype models to evaluate new design concepts
Coordinating product evaluation with surgeons
Generating comprehensive protocols for testing/analyzing the product
Generating design assurance documentation for the project
Areas of Competence:
Skilled and knowledgeable in manufacturing and new product processing;
Familiarity with drafting standards and geometric differences and tolerancing
Active participation in development meetings with surgeons and key personnel
Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical project tasks with other functional groups
Helping to identify customer requirements for a new product
Establishing a process method which meets performance and quality requirements
Microsoft Office Suite and Project
Education Requirements:
B.S. degree from an ABET accredited school (or global equivalent) in an engineering or science discipline, as preferred by the specific department and 1 to 5 years of experience.
.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
