Job Description:
Description: SQA Tester III is responsible for the strategy, design, planning, reviewing and creation/execution of automated and manual functional tests. This individual will possess the necessary skills and experience to develop automated and manual test infrastructure and define test development needs and procedures. This position will require you to work with multiple SQA members and developers, with different degrees of knowledge in automation and execution.
Primary Job Duties:
Create the goals, plans and objectives for our automated and manual testing strategy.
Develop and document the overall testing infrastructure on multiple platforms and work with team members to develop automated regression testing scripts.
Research, recommend and establish best practices in manual and automated testing to encourage well-documented and reproducible testing results.
Lead continuous automation and process improvements to provide improved quality assurance and reduction in testing cycle time.
Define and implement standards to satisfy the retention, cataloging and execution requirements for the automated and manual regression test suites.
Builds automated regression test suite using automated scripts.
Analyze application design for suitability of automated testing and recommend changes to facilitate test automation
Provides leadership and mentoring to entire SQA organization.
ROI assessment for value of automation vs. manual testing.
Required Skill Set:
BA-Bachelor of Arts or equivalent combination work experience in a similar function required.
Developed complicated scripts using QTP - some examples: reading and writing data to excel files, reading and writing data to text files and reading and writing data in a database.
Strong VB Scripting knowledge and should have designed and developed scripts using VB Scripting.
Strong working knowledge in Java Scripting.
Excellent SQL skills, must be able to write complex queries
Ability to analyze business and/or functional requirement documents for testing purposes
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
Strong team-oriented interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate positive working relationships.
Ability to analyze manual testing process and assess suitability for automation.
Proven track record of delivering quality products.
Ability to work within a team, and if needed, independently at a very fast paced environment.
Strong written and oral communication.
The following skill set is a plus:
Manual Web Testing and Backend Testing background.
Experience with SoapUI and has automated testing using SoapUI.
Development knowledge of image compare scripts
Experience in web services testing.
Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the role of testing and automation within the SDLC - Waterfall model / Agile model.
Ability to estimate testing effort, analyze change requests and initiate the scheduling of QA tasks and dependencies.
Experience with Linux scripting
Create System Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Data
HTA programming skills
Data migration testing automation
Working knowledge of excel macros and programming preferred.
Working knowledge in Selenium
This PO is for 2013. However, the expectation would be for this candidate to be onsite for at least 2 years (potentially a future contract to hire)
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
